At 3-D Dance our Dance Educators are college-educated professionals with a scope of knowledge that ranges from developmental appropriate dancer development, to effective curriculum implementation and creative classroom management strategies. Suzy Simpson, Co-Founder

Suzy Simpson is a proud to be a Y.P.A.D. Certified Dance Educator, a life-long dancer and performer. Suzy has been teaching ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop since 2000.

Suzy received a Dance Scholarship from the University of North Texas, where she earned a B.S. Degree in Child Development, with a Minor in Dance. After graduating from UNT, Suzy pursued graduate studies in Performing Arts Administration at New York University in New York City, where she received unparalleled training at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Education and Stern School of Business. While living in New York City, Suzy trained at Broadway Dance Center, studied with the Martha Graham Dance Company, and enjoyed attending Broadway musicals as much as her schedule would allow.

Suzy’s drill team experience includes performing as a Tyler Junior College Apache Belle, serving as a high school drill team director, and instructing dance camps and judging dance competitions. She was named Outstanding Director two years in a row from American Dance/Drill Team, and was featured in the annual publication Who’s Who among American High School Teachers. Suzy has choreographed for the Apache Belle Spring Show and Apache Belle Pow Wow Dance Camp. She served on the Apache Belle Gold Alumni Board of Directors for ten years.

Suzy is excited to be on the front lines of positive change in the dance industry, starting right here in our local community. Her greatest joy has been watching our dancers grow into dynamic performers and amazing people over the years.

Michelle Finch, Co-Founder

Michelle Finch is a native of south Louisiana where she grew up enjoying dance and theater. She appeared in over 20 plays and musicals beginning with “The King and I” at age 9. She was a member of the Baton Rouge Dinner Playhouse cast of “Annie” and “The Sound of Music”. She was also part of her high school dance team, high school show choir, and a member of the “Jambalaya Singers”, a professional touring company of 8 performers representing the “Jambalaya Capital” – Gonzales, Louisiana. Performances included the Louisiana State Fair, Disney World in Orlando, and a two week tour in France with shows in 8 different French cities. After high school, Michelle attended University of Texas at Austin where she received an MBA in Finance.

She spent most of her career at American Airlines Headquarters in Fort Worth, and has held various business and financial consulting positions over the past 10 years. Her most rewarding venture to date has been her 24 year marriage to her husband John and spending time with their three wonderful daughters. She is proud to be part of the 3-D Dance family and be able to watch the next generation of performers develop and grow.

Dena Guzman, Director of Operations

Dena is a graduate from the University of North Texas with her degree in Emergency Management and Sociology. She spent twelve years working at UNT as the Assistant Director in Financial Aid. In 2018, Dena was awarded the top honor of Outstanding Employee at UNT for her work in the financial aid office. Dena enjoys getting to know all of our dance families and welcoming new families to 3-D Dance. In her free time, Dena homeschools her two children, dabbles with photography, and spending quality time with her family. She lives in Crossroads with her husband, children and four dogs.

Aminah Alvarez, Instructor

Aminah Alvarez is a native of Dallas, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a Specialization in Athletic Health Care at The University of Texas at Austin. She is an alumnus of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Alvarez performed as a company member with DBDT: Encore!, and has performed multiple summers with Mary Kay Cosmetics, Annual Summer Seminar.

In 2016, Alvarez performed as a finalist at the American College Dance Association’s National Festival, at The John F. Kennedy Center. In 2018, she performed at the Fintdaz Internacional De Teatro & Danza Festival in Iquique, Chile.

Alvarez has credits with The Dallas Opera’s production of Carmen and Hansel and Gretel. You can find her in multiple commercials, notably NBC5 Winter Olympics Texas Connects Us.Alvarez is a founding company dancer of contemporary modern dance company, B. MOORE DANCE, and is currently is on faculty with The Joffrey Ballet School’s Texas Training Program and 3-D Dance. Alvarez is certified in Youth Protection Advocates in Dance (YPAD), Progressing Ballet Technique, and Acrobatic Arts.

Lauren Cummins, Administrative Assistant

Lauren was born and raised in Riverside, California and moved to Texas in 2022. Prior to starting her career as a Color Guard Instructor, she performed in Disneyland parades and was also in the Rose Parade with Martin Luther King High School Color Guard. She has 12 years of experience coaching multiple Middle School and High School Color Guard teams. That experience included managing team financials, creating show and costume designs, as well as writing flag, weapon line and dance choreography.

You can find Lauren in multiple TV Shows such as The Middle and Commercials as a Specialty Extra with companies such as Verizon. In her free time, you can catch her hanging out with friends and family. She loves sewing, arts and crafts, spending time with her daughter and husband, along with always looking for new DIY projects at home. Lauren is excited to help families experience everything 3-D Dance has to offer.

Jordana Bluitt, Performing Company Director

Ms. Jordana graduated from the University of North Texas’ where she perfomed on North Texas Dancers. Jordana began her love for dance and entertainment at the age of five. Jordana has been trained in ballet, jazz, drill technique, lyrical, tap, and hip-hip, and ballroom. She was also awarded many national scholarships, awards, and recognitions from NYCDA, Nuvo Dance Convention, Adrenaline Dance, Crowd Pleasers, Jump Dance Convention, 24/Seven Dance Convention, Jenny Durbin, Kim McSwain, Nick Bass, Matt Alyward, and more.

In high school, Jordana was a member of and two-year Lieutenant for the Braswell Royals under the direction of Kristina Shelburne. In addition to dance, Jordana also acts, and has been casted in two short films directed by Toya Nash. To share her passion for the performing arts, Jordana volunteers at local middle and high schools dance clubs and teams to choreograph, clean routines, and lead technique classes. Jordana is the Assistant Coach for the Texas Women's University Pioneer Pride Dance Team.

Alyssa Knapschaefer, Instructor

Alyssa Knapschaefer is a native of Kingwood, Texas where she started her dance training at five years old. She trained through college in ballet, pointe, tap, and modern dance. Alyssa graduated from the University of North Texas in 2021 with a BA in Dance and a BS in Kinesiology. As a UNT student, she performed in various concerts such as the Collaboration Dance Concert, the New Choreographer’s Concert, and the Faculty Dance Concert. Additionally, at UNT, Knapschaefer found interest in the individuality in one’s body's relationship to movement and how movement facilitates a creative and healthy life. Alyssa currently dances professionally with Mixtamotus, an art collective that explores movement, music, and media.

Jayme Phillips, Instructor

Jayme Phillips was born and raised in West Virginia and attended West Virginia University. While there, she earned a BS in Sport Management with a minor in Dance. Jayme started dancing at the age of 3, training in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, acro, lyrical, and contemporary. At 5, she joined a nationally award-winning competition team that traveled the country competing at NYCDA, Jump, Tremaine, Dance Educators of America, Dance Masters of America, and more. Growing up, she attended ballet intensives including Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet’s summer program and was awarded a full scholarship to attend Dance Educators of America’s international ballet intensive in Las Vegas. Jayme is a Progressing Ballet Technique certified instructor. She enjoys sharing her love of ballet and other styles with her students and lives by the motto, “Dance training is life training.”

Hadley Voss, Instructor

Hadley Voss is a Mississippi native who earned her Master’s Degree in Dance from Texas Woman’s University. She is also an Acrobatic Arts Certified instructor. She is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography and a minor in Business Administration. Hadley was a member of USM’s Dixie Darlings dance team all four years at USM.

Hadley is a life-long formally trained dancer specializing in the genres ballet, modern, tap, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. In the summers of 2018 and 2019, she was invited to attend the prestigious Radio City Rockettes Summer Intensive in New York City, where she participated in daily technique classes as well as learned some of the Rockettes’ most famous choreography.

Hadley has been teaching dance since 2013 and is excited to share her passion with our 3-D Dance students!

Emily Jensen, Instructor

Emily Jensen recently graduated with her Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Texas Woman’s University. Emily earned her BA in Dance Education from TWU in 2020 and her AA in Dance from Kilgore College in 2017. She currently serves as Coaching Assistant for the TWU Pioneer Pride Dance Team, where she was named the first-ever Dance Captain in 2017. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Dance at the University of North Texas, as well as a Veteran Staff member with Danceline USA.

Emily works professionally as a freelance instructor, choreographer, performer, adjudicator, and presenter across the United States within a variety of dance spaces and genres. She is so thankful for 3-D Dance and loves building relationships with the 3-D Dance community!

Oriana Godoy

Oriana Godoy was born in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Spain with her family at the age of 4. There, she began studying flamenco, ballet, and contemporary dance. After spending 8 years in Spain, Oriana moved to Argentina, her parents' home country. In 2015, she returned to the United States, where she continued her dance training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary dance. She was an active member of her high school Drill Team and was honored as Jazz Dancer of the Year.

Oriana will graduate from Texas A&M University in December 2024 with an interdisciplinary degree in Dance and minors in Secondary Education and Spanish. She is currently student teaching dance and drill team at Rock Hill High School in Prosper. During her time at A&M, Oriana seized every opportunity to develop her skills in teaching, performing, and choreography. She became a member of the Dance Arts Society, where she choreographed multiple pieces that were successfully auditioned and performed each semester. In addition to her choreography work, she performed every semester at Rudder Auditorium.

Andrea Bellolio, Instructor

Andrea Bellolio is a Dallas native with a diverse background in dance, training in hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, ballet, and drill team. While she loves exploring different styles, hip-hop and jazz have always been some of her favorites. Her experience as both a dancer and teacher has given her the opportunity to work with students of different ages and skill levels, assist classes, and choreograph.
Andrea earned her bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting with a minor in Marketing from the University of North Texas. Her background in performance and creative work has shaped her approach to teaching, allowing her to bring creativity, energy, and a strong sense of performance into the studio.
Andrea genuinely loves teaching and believes dance should be challenging, creative, and fun. She especially enjoys helping students come out of their shells, build confidence, and discover what they are capable of. Her goal is for every student to leave class feeling like they learned something new, had a good time, and are excited to come back next week.

Katherine Powell, Instructor

Katherine Powell is majoring in Business at University of North Texas. She grew up in Frisco, TX training in Ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary.She is excited to have the opportunity to teach our amazing 3-D Dance students!

Keira Oshunkentan, Assistant

Keira has been a 3-D Dance student since age 4, who performed on our performing Company for several years. Keira was on the Braswell High School Royals Drill Team for four years, serving as Captain for two years.

Eden Guzman-Torres, Instructor

Eden has been dancing at 3-D Dance since the age of 3 and is currently a Black Diamond Performing Company Dancer and part of our Pre-Professional Dance Program. She is trained in all styles of dance including jazz, contemporary, tap, ballet and hip hop. Eden served as a two year dance ambassador for the Guidance Dance Experience. She is also an award winning student choreographer who is dedicated to pushing creative boundaries through storytelling and movement.

Dakota Cramer, Instructor

Dakota Cramer has lived in Celina, Texas, for the past four years after moving from Washington State, where she trained in studio dance from ages 3–15. She spent three years on the Celina High School drill team, serving as captain her senior year. For the past two years, Dakota has worked with Danceline USA, combining her passion for dance and leadership. She currently attends Texas Woman’s University, majoring in English with a minor in Education, with aspirations of becoming an English teacher and drill/dance team director.

Haven Reese, Assistant

Haven began her dance training in Arkansas and has been a 3-D Dance student since moving to Texas in 2019. She performs with our Emerald Performing Company and has been a soloist for 3 years. Haven attend Booker T Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas.

Allie Beck, Instructor

Allie Beck graduated from Lindenwood University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts emphasizing in Jazz. She is a former member of the Dallas Wings Flight Crew and currently performs as a Texas Legends Dancer. Allie is passionate about dance and continues to grow her career in the professional dance industry.

Ella Brooks, Instructor in Training

Ella Brooks has called Celina home for 12 years, beginning her athletic journey in competitive gymnastics at age six before discovering her passion for dance through drill team. She is a former member of Moore Middle School’s Bobcat Belles and Celina High School’s Las Gatitas. Currently a junior at Celina High School and taking dual enrollment classes at Collin College, Ella loves being part of the 3-D Dance community and looks forward to continuing to teach and inspire her dancers!
