'Twas the Night before Recital

”Twas the night before recital, all is quiet and sound.
All the costumes are pressed, not a wrinkle is found.
My dance shoes are ready in my dance bag with care.
And my mommy has brushed out my fake dancer’s hair.
In my room I do practice one more time before bed.
A plié, then tendu, now I must rest my head.
I am dreaming of solo’s, center stage, and spotlights.
Wish us luck at recital, and to all a good night!
